A free service providing specially adapted bikes for people with mobility and disability issues is reopening in Bridlington today.
The All Ride service will offer freedom and fun for those with mobility and disability issues every Friday, between 10am and 3pm.
Hanna Moore is from R-evolution, who run the scheme, she says the idea is to provide a hour of fun.
All Ride, provides free hire of the bikes which are designed to cater for people with a range of additional needs or mobility issues.
The scheme runs every Friday from today though to September 13th. Hanna says it's been popular over the last three years.
Between April and October 2023, All Ride loaned out 395 bikes to the public for a free pedal down the beautiful Bridlington promenade.
The project is based at Victoria Terrace in front of the East Riding Leisure Centre on the Bridlington North Promenade every Friday between 10am and 3pm between April 5th and September 13th 2024.
All abilities are welcome onto the scheme as there are a wide range of adapted bikes that cater for all. They also have standard bikes, tandems and choppers available so family members/ carers/ friends can also take part in the scheme.
Bikes can be pre-booked by calling 01482 844422 or you can pop down and see what bikes are available on the day.
There is a gallery showing the range of bikes available at https://www.r-evolution.org.uk/in-your-area/all-ride/
