A Talent show that set out to find Scarborough's next big star will have it's grand final later this month.
Scarborough's Search for a Star is being run as a fundraising event for the town's YMCA theatre and has been holding auditions over the last few months.
Performing Arts Tutor - Devan Kellet - says she's been impressed with the quality of the entrants.
Devan says fundraising for the YMCA has been the driving force behind the return of the Search for a Star, she says the main thing now is to get the theatre seats filled for the grand final on July 27th.
The talent search is being held for the fist time since 2010 and has been put together by three local performing arts specialists, Devan says they've been well supported by local businesses.
Devan is now planning to start her own performing arts school in the town and says she wants to help local youngsters build their confidence.
Devan says her love of the performing arts has given her the opportunity to travel the world and she hops to be able to give other local people the same opportunities.
