A new mobile defibrillator and water rescue throw lines will strengthen safety and emergency preparedness across the 330-acre Burton Constable estate.
Emergency response capabilities will improve across a vast East Yorkshire estate following the donation of new life-saving equipment.
Visitors exploring the historic Burton Constable parkland will benefit from a new defibrillator and five water rescue throw lines.
A mobile defibrillator will travel in the Parkland team's vehicle, ensuring the vital medical device can be transported swiftly to any incident across the 330-acre site.
Meanwhile, the five throw lines will provide staff with the necessary tools to respond safely to emergencies around the estate's lakes and water features.
Humberside Search and Rescue, alongside HFR Solutions Community Interest Company, provided the equipment to strengthen local safety measures.
The donation stems from a direct link between the organisations, as Burton Constable's Wildlife and Parkland Officer volunteers with the lowland search and rescue team across the Humber region.
Alasdair Hutson, Chief Executive of the Burton Constable Foundation, highlighted the practical benefits of the donation. He said:
"We’re very grateful to HUMBSAR and HFR Solutions CiC for this generous donation. With 330 acres of Parkland to look after, having this equipment close at hand and able to be taken quickly wherever it may be needed is incredibly valuable. The training provided to our team has also been a great addition, helping us to be better prepared should the equipment ever be needed."
Practical training accompanied the handover, with instructors ensuring estate staff are fully prepared to deploy the throw lines effectively.
Leigh Smith, a Search Manager at Humberside Search and Rescue, and Gary O’Hara officially presented the gear to the parkland team.
O'Hara, an instructor at HFR Solutions, subsequently delivered the hands-on safety sessions to the estate workers.
Jenni Drinkall, Managing Director at HFR Solutions Community Interest Company, explained their motivation for providing the rescue tools. She said:

HFR Solutions CiC are dedicated to ensuring that the Humber region is a safer place to live and work. We are also incredible grateful for their involvement with HUMBSAR which is committed to supporting the police in the search for vulnerable missing people"
The safety upgrades will protect visitors exploring one of East Yorkshire's most significant historic locations.
The magnificent Elizabethan country house, situated near Hull, has been the home of the Constable family for more than seven hundred years.
Today, the site is managed by the Burton Constable Foundation, a charity established in 1992 to preserve the hall, its historic collections, and the surrounding buildings for future generations.
Those visiting the estate can walk through peaceful trails, woodland, and open parkland originally designed by the famous landscape architect Capability Brown.
The extensive grounds support abundant wildlife and provide a picturesque setting for the historic property.
Inside the hall itself, visitors can view more than thirty beautifully preserved rooms featuring fine art and exquisite furniture.
The property also houses an extraordinary Cabinet of Curiosities, which is regarded as one of the finest surviving collections of its kind in an English country house.
A famous sixty-foot sperm whale skeleton, notably referenced in the classic novel Moby-Dick, remains one of the most remarkable attractions preserved at the site.
