Plan says the Yorkshire Coast's tourism attractions need to work together to promote each other.
That's one of the aims of the draft tourism strategy for the Scarborough Borough which is aiming to persuade more potential visitors to see the borough as a destination with an abundance of attractions.
Janet Deacon is the Borough Council's tourism manager.
There is also a call for tourism and cultural businesses on the Yorkshire Coast to work closely with each other to gain funding and share experiences.
Frances Smith is one of the consultants working on the strategy.
The draft cultural strategy for the borough wants the area to be recognised as a cultural leader and a place of inspiration using cultural activity to celebrate the best of what the area has to offer. It is aiming to better promote the areas landscapes, seaside heritage, people and creativity.
The strategy has been produced by the Borough Council along with a consortium of arts and education organisations based across the borough.
