Scarborough's MP is focusing on filling the town's high street.
Alison Hume revealed her concerns yesterday after seeing the centre of Scarborough recently with boarded up units.
However, she's told us there are also reasons to be upbeat:
"While there's things that are closing, there are also new and exciting things opening up like the old parcel's office.
"So yes, we do want the shops filled. I noted that North Yorkshire Council say that they're working on ways of getting the temporary use of those shops. A lot of that could be done with the meanwhile use, but you know, council has to be flexible and let people move in while they're looking for long-term tenants.
"And sometimes, I don't think we've seen that. And in fact, I know we haven't. So it's a really good way of using spaces."
