Whitby Town football club has thanked it's fans for supporting their foodbank initiative.
For the last few weeks the club has been operating as a drop off point for the Whitby Food bank project.
Chairman Ivor Homer and Commercial Manager Paul Connolly met with Chris from Whitby Food Bank this morning to hand over supporter donations ahead of Christmas.
The club also topped up the amount with a substantial food donation, to help support those most in need in the local community.
The club say:
"We’d like to say a massive thank you to all supporters who donated to the Food Bank.
Your generosity has been outstanding as ever.
We are proud as ever to support the community of Whitby and the surrounding area."
