As Whitby Town prepares to celebrate its landmark centenary year, a new initiative is giving supporters the opportunity to secure a permanent place in its history.
The club has officially launched its "Sponsor a Seat" campaign, inviting fans, families, and members of the wider community to have their name - or that of a loved one - engraved on a seat in the main stand at the Towbar Express Stadium.
Each sponsored seat will feature a professionally engraved nameplate, creating a lasting tribute within one of the stadium’s most iconic areas. The initiative forms a key part of the club’s 100-year celebrations, recognising the supporters who have helped shape its journey over the decades.
A club spokesperson said:
"Reaching our centenary is a hugely significant milestone, and we wanted to create something that allows our supporters to be part of that legacy. This initiative offers a unique and personal way for fans to celebrate their connection to the club, while leaving a lasting mark for future generations."
The campaign is hope to attract strong interest, with 495 number of seats available in the main stand. Supporters are encouraged to act quickly to avoid missing out on the opportunity.
Whether marking years of loyal support, commemorating a special occasion, or honouring someone with a deep connection to the club, the "Sponsor a Seat" initiative provides a meaningful way to be part of this historic moment.
For more information or to secure a seat, supporters are encouraged to contact the club directly or visit whitbytownfc.com.
