Whitby Town Target Consistency In Hyde Clash Ahead Of Two-Week Break

Whitby Town will travel to Hyde in the NPL Premier this Saturday, with midfielder Ben Turner hoping the subsequent two-week break will help the newly-formed squad bond and find consistency.

A crucial fixture awaits Whitby Town this Saturday as they make the journey to the North West to face Hyde in the NPL Premier.

A two-week break from competitive action will follow today's match for the Blues, as the team does not have a game scheduled for next weekend.

Fresh options will be available on the pitch ahead of the clash. Blues boss Lee Bullock has successfully brought in Dan James on a loan agreement from Middlesbrough.

The upcoming rest period could prove highly beneficial for the squad's ongoing development and unity on the pitch.

Midfielder Ben Turner told Whitby Town TV that the extended break will offer a valuable opportunity for the team to reset, recover, and build stronger connections away from the pressures of match day, also you need to start well:

"You have to be on it like from minute dot. Um, so it's it's a good chance you can, you know, on that Saturday, fine, give it everything and then you've got like a week to recover, you've got your training sessions to to work on things. So I think it does, it gives lads a a chance to reset and this two week break, um, will be good because I know it it's been said quite a few times, we still are a relatively new group, but there's only so much we can keep saying that. We've got to actually start bonding and everybody has got to be shooting for the for the same sort of goal. Um, and that's obviously being more consistent with performances and start climbing up the league again."

You can hear more from Turner, Lee Bullock and Dan James on episode 91 of The Codcast.

Live commentary of the 3pm kick-off will be broadcast directly to fans on This Is The Coast Extra.
