Organisers have released the full timetable and detailed extensive seafront road closures ahead of Saturday's Armed Forces Day event in Scarborough.
The full timetable and road closures have been confirmed for Scarborough Armed Forces Day, which is set to take place on Saturday 27 June 2026.
Organisers have announced a slight adjustment to the highly anticipated air displays over the town.
The RAF Supermarine Spitfire display will now take to the skies at 1.40pm, while the Hawker Fury display is scheduled for 3.30pm.
The day will commence at 11am with a welcome by the Scarborough Town Crier, followed swiftly by an RAF Chinook flypast at 11.30am and an RAF Tutor T Mark 1 air display at 11.40am.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors can expect a variety of performances, including the Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioners Pace Stick Team, the Scarborough Sea Cadet continuity drill display team, and the East Riding Pipe Band.
The event will culminate with a spectacular RAF Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 air display at 4.05pm, followed by a parade of Standards, veterans, and cadets led by the Queen's Own Yeomanry, before the official closing ceremony at 4.45pm.

The closures encompass several key locations, including
- Blands Cliff,
- Foreshore Road,
- Quay Street,
- Sandside,
- East Sandgate from Tuthill to Eastborough.
- Eastborough will be closed from Globe Street to the Foreshore Road junction.
Three car parks will also be closed:
- Eastborough,
- Quay Street,
- West Pier
Event organisers issued a statement regarding the necessary disruption.
They said:
"Whilst we appreciate that there will be some disruption caused by the closures, we hope you understand the necessity, due to the size and necessary safety measures around the event, of the closures for Scarborough to host such a prestigious event."
Local residents residing on the affected routes are required to relocate their vehicles before the 5am deadline. Any vehicles remaining within the event footprint after this time will be removed, and owners may face a recovery charge.
Furthermore, Blue Badge holders will not be exempt from the parking restrictions within the event area, as all vehicles must be moved. However, arrangements are currently being made to assist individuals with special medical requirements.
An event spokesperson highlighted the significance of the occasion for the North Yorkshire town.
They added:
"This is a once in a lifetime event in Scarborough and we hope you will join in and enjoy what will be an incredible spectacle for the area."
