People across Scarborough and Bridlington have the opportunity to directly question health bosses about their local hospitals during a special online meeting on Wednesday.
Local hospital services and future priorities will be put under the spotlight by residents at a special public meeting this week.
People across Scarborough, York, and North Yorkshire can put questions directly to the board members of the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The online event, which incorporates the Trust’s Annual General Meeting, is scheduled to run from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday, September 23, and is open to everyone.
Attendees will get a chance to hear about the progress made over the past year and learn about the priorities ahead for the local NHS.
Health bosses have described the meeting as an opportunity for the public to learn more about the services provided across local hospitals and communities, as well as to hear about upcoming challenges and opportunities.
Martin Barkley, chair of the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said:
"Our Annual Members’ Meeting is an important opportunity to reflect on the past year, but also to look ahead and talk openly about the challenges and opportunities facing our Trust and raise questions or concerns with me and other members of the Trust Board.
Our hospitals and services belong to the communities we serve, so I would encourage anyone with an interest in their local NHS to join us.
Whether you want to hear more about what we have achieved, understand our priorities for the year ahead or ask us a question, you will be very welcome."
Direct questions can be put to members of the Trust board during a live question-and-answer session.
Residents who wish to submit a question in advance can do so by emailing cheryl.gaynor1@nhs.net, while questions can also be submitted live during the broadcast.
The virtual meeting can be joined using a laptop, smartphone, or tablet through Microsoft Teams, with no advance registration required.
