The continuing restrictions on social contact have lead organisers to call off the event.
In a statement Scarborough Borough council said.
"In line with previous cancellations of the Filey International Food Festival earlier this year, we are cancelling the forthcoming festival, which was due to take place from 10 to 11 October.
The safety of stallholders, staff and those that usually come along to enjoy the event is paramount, so in line with continuing restrictions on social contact and major events during the coronavirus pandemic, we are unable to hold the festival.
We are contacting stallholders to offer a full refund and are keeping the Christmas festival, currently scheduled for 21 to 22 November, under constant review."
