Humberside Police say officers made an arrest after they were called to reports of a road rage incident on Main Road in Humbleton on Thursday night, around 9.30pm.
It is reported a verbal altercation occurred between the occupants of two vehicles, leading to one of the drivers to threaten the occupants of the other vehicle involved in the incident.
Officers attended, and the driver, a 45-year-old man, was requested to undertake a roadside breath test, of which he failed, reportedly blowing 99 on the breathalyser. Initial enquiries also established that the man is believed to have been driving without insurance.
This led to the man being arrested on suspicion of drink driving, driving without insurance, using threatening, abusive, or insulting words and behaviour to cause harm or distress, and threatening to damage or destroy property. Following a search whilst the man was detained, a quantity of suspected class B drugs were also found, leading to him being further arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug.
The man remains in police custody assisting with an ongoing investigation at this time.
