A new project is being launched to help East Riding business cope with cost of living issues.
The new chancellors' changes to the energy help scheme yesterday mean that Household fuel bills are now only capped until April rather than for two years as had been announced last month.
The scheme for businesses was already only in place for six months.
The East Riding Council's Portfolio Holder for Economic Investment, Growth and Tourism - Councillor Jane Evison - says that's not long enough.
Councillor Evison says that business in the East Riding are to get access to a new "Help for Business" support scheme to help them with energy cost issues and ongoing issues with recruitment.
Jane Evison feels that many business in the East Riding have suffered a double whammy from the pressures of increasing fuel costs and higher inflation.
