Local fire crews attended a digger fire in Whitby on Friday night.
It happened just before 10.30pm on Friday night, on Fairfield Way in the town.
Crews from Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay responded to a report of a digger on fire.
On arrival, officers found a small amount of burning to battery cables. They extinguished the fire to the cabling and disconnected the battery.
