Following the news that Flamingo Land's owners would run Alpamare for the next 12 months, the local authority say they've been discussing the park's long term future.
On Thursday, North Yorkshire Council reached an agreement with Flamingo Land's Gordon Gibb and his team to oversee the stricken water park for the next year.
The council's deputy leader - Councillor Gareth Dadd - says they will use that time to consider options for a longer term solution:
