Yorkshire Coast Cricket Round-up

There was rain in the air for our local cricket sides to contend with.

However, Driffield Town wrapped up victory over Hull Zingari before the weather could intervene.

They put Zingari in and skittled them for just 115 in Yorkshire Premier North.

There were three wickets each for Jamie Anson and Nick Hardgrave- with two apiece for Jack Redshaw and Elliot Hatton.

Alec Drury then fired an unbeaten 45 as Driff got home by seven wickets, inside 24 overs.

Bridlington are underway with their first Premier 2 victory of the season.

Brid chose to field first and reduced hosts Welton to 210/8 from a reduced 46 overs, with Calum Hatton taking 3/46.

Rain cut Brid's innings to just 22 overs with 154 their revised target.

They got home with two overs and five wickets to spare as Will Watts blasted 60 not out from just 31 balls.

Driffield Seconds continue to lead Championship East, they remain 100% after beating Folkton & Flixton by three wickets.

The villagers were bowled out for just 121 inside 41 overs as Adrian Long took 5/71 and Russell Robinson 3/13.

Marley Ward then took 4/29 and Ryan Baldry 3/36 for Folkton & Flixton but Driff just got home.

Scarborough beat Hornsea by seven wickets.

Hornsea posted 234/9 in their 50 overs at North Marine Road.

Mark Battye made 47 and keeper Paul Clappison 46.

For Boro, there were two wickets each for Hayden Williamson, Charlie Hopper and Ben Squires.

Callum Armstrong fired 78 from just 65 balls for Scarborough and Dan Artley was even more aggressive with 60 off 38 as the hosts got home comfortably.

Seamer & Irton bowled out Brandesburton for just 138 with Adam and Matthew Morris claiming three wickets each.

Seamer raced to their target with Adam Morris then starring with the bat making 65 not out from only 47 balls as Seamer won by three wickets.

Wykeham enjoyed victory too after posting 262 first up against South Holderness.

Malachi Henry made 82 with fellow opener Ali Sabir adding 71 from the same amount of balls.

Bobby Brolly then took 3/51 and Henry grabbed two wickets as Holderness were restricted to 213/7 in reply.

Scalby were frustrated by the showers, at Beverley 2nds.

The home team made 201/9 from 50 overs with two wickets each for Liam Cousins, Jack Felton, Paul Hesp and Lachlan Cooke.

Scalby were 48/1 from seven overs when the rain came.

In Championship Central, Pickering were bowled out for just 106 despite George Baldwin's battling 32.

Hosts Selby then got home by six wickets, with Tim Whincup striking twice.

Malton were frustrated by the weather after posting 262/7 from 50 overs, thanks to keeper Charlie Allot's 84 and 54 from skipper Matthew Turnbull.

They then reduced Pocklington to 56/3 in 17 overs, but rain abandoned the action early.

That was the case for Whitby, in North Yorkshire South Durham Division Two, at Stokesley 2nds.

Asked to bat first, Tom Steyert's men got to 90/2 before the match was rained off.
