Yorkshire Coast Cricket Round-Up- Hatton Brothers Star

Driffield return to form and are just two points off third after a thriller, with all our local sides in action on Saturday.

Town won the toss and chose to bat first at home to Hull Zingari in Yorkshire Premier North.

The Hatton brothers starred with Elliot firing 86 and Jake finishing 55 not as the hosts posted 221/5 from their 50 overs.

In reply, Elliot Hatton took 3/47 and George Drury 2/14 as Zingari run out of overs, making 212/9, nine runs short of their winning target.

Folkton & Flixton are off the bottom of Premier 2 after a derby victory over Bridlington.

Choosing to bat first, the villagers made 173/9 with skipper Will Hutchinson top-scoring with 40 and Ed Hopper adding 38.

Calum Hatton took an impressive 6/35 for Brid.

Will Norman made 30 in Brid's reply, but they fell 24 runs short, with Rich Malthouse taking 4/18 and three wickets each for Harry Walmsley and Connor Stephenson.

In Championship East, our local sides are all piled up from 4th to 7th.

Pickering lead the way after beating 6th-placed Driffield 2nds by five wickets.

Driff chose to bat first posting 214/9 but Pickering knocked off their target with five wickets and 11 overs to spare.

Malton & Old Malton are fifth after a five-wicket defeat at home to Welton.

Shaun Harland made 89 as Malton were bowled out for 226 in the 48th over.

The hosts then had Welton 32/4 before an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 155 saw them home.

Adam Spaven finished with figures of 4/32.

Scarborough are seventh after a heavy defeat at Goole Town.

Boro put the home side in but they piled on 278/9 with Ben Squires taking 5/52 and Kieran Rutter 3/48.

Captain David Snowball top-scored with 32 for Scarborough who were skittled for just 135 in the 35th over.

Whitby are fifth in North Yorkshire South Durham Division Two after thumping Norton by 67 runs.

After being asked to bat first, Whitby made 207 after being bowled out in the 47th over.

Skipper Kai Morris came agonisingly-close to a half-century after making 49.

Craig Thompson then starred with 5/38 and Mark Jackson with 3/35 as Norton were rolled over for 140, inside 38 overs.
