Yorkshire Coast Cricket Results

All our local sides, including Scarborough, Bridlington, Whitby, Driffield and Folkton & Flixton were in action on Saturday.

Driffield Town ended their losing run with a comfortable win in Yorkshire Premier North.

Hosts Clifton Alliance batted first but slipped from 241/1 to 271/7 from 50 overs.

Elliot Hatton starred with 4/74 with James Anson taking 3/81.

In reply, Alec Drury led the way with 108, Noah Kelly then steered Town home with an unbeaten 115 as they got home with just two wickets down and six overs to spare.

Bridlington's great form continued in Premier 2.

Brid thumped Acomb by five wickets, despite the home side choosing to bat first.

They posted a respectable 251/9 from 50 overs with Rick Robinson taking 5/43 and Adam Newington 3/42.

The visitors got home with five wickets and one over to spare.

Skipper Casey Rudd again piled on the runs with 88 and Calum Hatton finished unbeaten on 71.

In the same division, Folkton & Flixton's struggles continued.

The villagers lost the toss but kept Woodhouse Grange 2nds to 259/8 from 50 overs.

Jack Stephenson took 4/19 and Connor Stephenson 2/33.

In response, the hosts were skittled for just 180, in the 42nd over, despite Connor Stephenson's 70.

In Championship East, Scarborough won their derby at The Gannock with Malton & Old Malton.

Ben Squires took 4/55 and Hayden Williamson 3/35 as the hosts slumped to 166 all out in the 34th over.

Boro then eased to victory by five wickets, with five wickets and 15 overs to spare.

Opener Rob Pinder top scored with 30.

It was a lot closer at South Holderness, who were put in to bat by visitors Pickering.

Joe Harland took 4/42 as Holderness posted 222/8 from 50 overs.

Four batsmen got into the 30s but when the latest, Evan Morris, was trapped lbw for 31, the visitors were bowled out, losing by just one run.

Whitby were beaten by 56 runs at Middlesbrough Seconds in North Yorkshire South Durham Division Two.

Middlesbrough posted 282/8 from 50 overs with spinner Mark Jackson taking 5/81 and skipper Kai Morris 3/51.

Whitby were then bowled out for 226 despite Andrew Wood's 43.
