Whitby ended an eight-match winless run after thumping ten-man Hebburn 6-2.
The Blues signed midfielder Adam Gell (pictured) for a fourth spell at the club and it was he who levelled seconds after Whitby had fallen behind inside 14 minutes.
The Tyneside club retook the lead, but then had a man sent off for an elbow on Seasiders skipper Jas Sukar.
Whitby made their one-man advantage count with ex-Scarborough striker Jake Charles turning home in the final minute of the first half.
It was Charles who slammed home Town's third, early in the second half.
On-loan Hartlepool United youngster Campbell Darcy made it four, with Stephen Walker and Joe Wheatley netting late on for a 6-2 victory.
