Struggling Cumbrians Workington visit the Towbar Express Stadium on Saturday with Whitby desperate to improve their home form in 2026.
It's a first home game of 2026, with the weather and fixture planners ensuring Whitby Town have played only once since 13th December.
The Blues are likely to give a debut to new striker Ben Farrar, if the recent bad weather stays away, it's certainly frustrated player-boss Gary Liddle:
"It's very interrupting in terms of our games and training as well. We're having to cancel training which is not ideal. I trust the lads in terms of what they do away from us, as staff. But ultimately you want the lads together, but when the weather is like it is, it's really difficult to get on the grass or on the 3G.
"That's as affected as it is in Whitby or elsewhere in the country. We've played Morpeth [on Boxing Day] and you're expected to react to defeats, but we haven't been able to do that. You can't really fight against the weather and you've just got to accept it and do the best you can and wait for the next time to play, whenever that may be."
Whitby currently lie 14th, but only two points above the NPL Premier bottom four.
Workington are second from bottom, 11 points behind the Blues.
Kick-off is 3pm, if you really can't make it, there's full commentary on This Is The Coast Extra.
