The Blues beat Marske United 4-2 last night at the Towbar Express Stadium against their coastal neighbours.
Aaron Heswell scored the opener for Whitby early in the first half before Kevin Burgess equalised for the visitors.
Jacob Gratton restored Whitby's lead early in the 2nd half from the penalty spot.
Bradley Fewster made it 3-1 after 77 minutes, chipping the keeper after a mistake at the back.
Whitby were then awarded a 2nd penalty with Gratton scoring a near-identical penalty to his first.
Marske pulled a goal back in stoppage time but Whitby took the 3 points.
