Whitby Town Awards Night Dominated by Departed Striker

Jacob Hazel, who has signed for Darlington recently, cleaned up at Whitby Town FC's awards night, on Saturday.

The presentation evening took place at Sneaton Castle, in Whitby.

Hazel took the leading goalscorer accolade with 33 goals, followed by Brad Fewster on 11 and Marcus Giles on 6.

The hotshot was also voted players' player of the year by his former team-mates with goalkeeper Shane Bland and skipper Danny Rowe in second.

Hazel also took the Geoff Swales Internet Player of the Year award with Bland second and Fewster third.

The ex-Scarborough Athletic striker was voted supporters' player of the season with Bland second and Rowe third.

Priestley Griffiths took the Blucerchiati Goal of the Season with a piledriver against Mossley in the FA Trophy, Fewster's strike against Mickleover came second with Lewis Hawkins' goal at Grantham third.
