Whitby Jets have recently been named as 1 of the first 20 clubs in England to meet Basketball England's Level 1 Club Standards.
This is a massive achievement for the club and allows them to reach level 2 accreditation in the future.
Being a Level 1 Basketball England Club allows Whitby Jets to qualify for additional Basketball England funding and grants, as well as other club benefits such as entering a national junior league.
They join clubs from across the country such as Southampton Suns, Surrey Rams and Worthing Thunder in achieving the honour.
