Whitby girl Evie Hodgson is doing well after receiving her bone marrow transplant on Friday.
The eight year old was diagnosed with a rare blood condition during the first lockdown last year.
An initial transplant operation feel through in the summer, but now Evie is undergoing several weeks of treatment after a new donor was found.
Her mum, Tina, says Friday's transplant went well, but there is still a long way to go.
Evie had been in hospital for a week prior to the operation for preparatory treatment. Tina says when Friday came it was an emotional day.
Evie has several more weeks of hospital treatment ahead of her, she is helping to pass the time by uploading a vlog of her time in hospital to her own YouTube channel. The videos offer insights into Evie's treatment including this verdict on the medicine.
