A special bike ride on the Yorkshire Coast today will be raising money and awareness for mental health charities.
The Tour de Acky is organised each year by friends and colleagues of Police Dog Handler Mick Atkinson who died in 2018 after losing a battle with his mental health, a battle that not even his closest friends knew he was facing.
Pierre Olesqui is one of those behind the event.
This is the fourth time the event has taken place, the riders will be tackling a 106.6 mile route from Muston into York and back climbing nearly 5000ft during the ride.
The 106.6 miles signifies Mick's collar number of 10-66
Traffic Sargent Paul Cording says this year's ride will also see two more collar numbers reflected in the event.
The ride is to raise awareness of mental health issues and to encourage people to talk. the riders will also be raising funds for Mind, Andy's Man Club and then Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Donations can be made via the Tour de Acky GoFundMe page.
