Scarborough Sailor Guy Waites says he is making slow progress in the Golden Globe round the world yacht race.
The 13 remaining sailors are currently off the west coast of Africa with guy in 8th place.
He says the main problem has been a lack of wind.
Guy says the conditions are frustrating be he's in good spirits.
Fellow Brit, Simon Curwen is currently leading the race, Ertan beskardes from Bournmouth is currently about a mile ahead of guy in 7th place.
Three of the competitors have retired Australia's Mark Sinclair, The USA's Guy de Boer and Canadian Edward Walentynowicz
