Scarborough is hosting it's first ever Fringe Festival.
The festival gets underway today and will see ten days of performances, exhibitions, and events taking place in arts venues, pubs, the indoor market and even the central tramway.
Festival Director - Julian Caddy - says the Scarborough Fringe will be unique.
The festival will feature theatre, music, comedy, spoken word, children’s shows, and a variety of other events and performances over the next 10 days.

The opening day of the festival will see a musical comedy tribute to Queen Elizabeth with audience participation, The Queen, Shakespeare and Me is at the YMCA in the early evening before folk superstar Eliza Carthy comes to the Stephen Joseph Theatre.
Julian says there are performers taking part in the festival from around the country and across the world.
Over the next 10 days the festival will include art, music, comedy, dance, puppetry, theatre and spoken word. Julian hopes that the variety of acts performing at the festival will offer something for everyone.
