Scarborough will be playing host to a ream of authors this weekend
The annual books by the beach festival gets underway tonight.
The event is now in it's tenth year, Festival Director - Helen French - says it brings a catalogue of benefits to the town.
It's the tenth outing for the event which will see famous authors of both fact and fiction talk about their works over the weekend.

Top novelists attending Books by the Beach include LUKE JENNINGS, author of acclaimed KILLING EVE novels. RACHEL JOYCE, author and screenwriter of new film, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry- starring Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton. Former Home Secretary and raconteur ALAN JOHNSON will be sharing his latest book, One of Our Ministers is Missing.
Bestselling authors Jenny Colgan and Linda Green are heading to Books by the Beach festival Sun 11 June 3pm to talk about their latest novels. Jenny introduces her new escapist novel The Summer Skies and Linda discusses her latest work In Little Stars – a modern day Romeo and Juliet, set against a divided northern England.
For all fans of Bridgerton – Regency expert Catherine Curzon talks about the real world behind this hugely popular drama! Discussing sex, class structure, dazzling fashion and etiquette- a window into this fascinating historical period.
