The national Armed forces day event being hosted in Scarborough this summer will encompass the whole borough.
That's the commitment from the Borough Council as planning resumes on the twice postponed event.
It was due to come to the town in 2020 but COVID restrictions lead to it being called off tow years in a row.
Borough Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood, Tony Randerson, says there will be roles of Whitby and Filey.
The event is due to take place on Saturday June 25th 2022 after having been postponed twice due to the COVID restrictions.
The town had been set to host the national ceremony, which attracts more than 200,000 people and figures including the Prime Minister, in 2020 but that was also moved to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was then postponed again due to further lockdown restrictions last year.
Councillor Randerson says discussions with the armed forces about the planning are now resuming.
