The immense value of good mental health has been recognised by a Scarborough care group through its support for a national charity.
Saint Cecilia’s Care Group carried out a collection to support the 401 Foundation, which promotes good mental health.
And it has now handed over a cheque for £250 to locally-based Chairman of the 401 Foundation, Shaun Tymon.
Saint Cecilia’s Managing Director Mike Padgham said:
“Good mental health is something that we place a very high priority upon across Saint Cecilia’s Care Group, both amongst the people that we care for and our own staff.
“Positive mental health goes side by side with good physical health in providing the best quality of life for our residents and day care visitors and in supporting our staff in what is a very demanding job.
“We were happy to support the 401 Foundation in the excellent work that it does.”
Mr Tymon added:
"I am really grateful to Mike and St Cecilia's Care Group for their very generous donation. This will help the 401 Foundation to continue its work in the vital area of mental health by funding grass roots projects which can effectively deliver valuable support straight into the community where it is needed."
