Scarborough Borough COVID Infection Rate Remains High

Despite a fall this week the infection rate remains well above the all England average.

COVID rates in North Yorkshire remain stubbornly above the English average.

The seven day infection rate in the county stands at 546 cases per 100 thousand people, the English average is 427.

Director of Public Health Louise Wallace says most of the cases are in younger age groups.

The infection rate in the Scarborough borough has fallen over the last few days but remains very high at 506.
