Two neighbours in Bridlington are celebrating after sharing a massive £750,000 prize in the latest Postcode Lottery draw.
A massive £750,000 windfall has landed in Bridlington after two residents scooped a major prize in the latest Postcode Lottery draw.
The huge cash injection arrived in the East Riding of Yorkshire town on Saturday, 31 October, when YO16 6ZR was announced as the winning postcode. Every winning ticket in the monthly draw was worth £250,000.
One lucky player reeled in a staggering £500,000 payout by playing with two tickets in the draw. A second delighted neighbour netted a bumper £250,000 share of the prize pot. Following the life-changing news, both winners have chosen to remain anonymous.
Representatives from the lottery organisation shared their delight at the massive payout for the coastal community.
Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said:
"What a win for the two players in this historic seaside town. They’ll be as happy as clams because the world is now their lobster!"
Participants in the Postcode Lottery pay £12.50 a month to play, using their chosen postcode to be automatically entered into all draws, with the organisation guaranteeing winners every day.
The Bridlington prize was promoted on behalf of the Postcode Support Trust. The trust provides vital financial backing for a range of national charities, including Crisis UK, Missing People, and the Royal Voluntary Service.
