Organisers of the annual Scalby Charity Walk are encouraging competitors to sign up this week.
The traditional fundraising event takes place on Easter Monday and sees walkers in fancy dress take on the seven mile walk around the villages four local pubs.
Michael Whiteley is one of the organisers, he says places are limited.
Michael says the annual Easter fundraising event has a long history going back 63 years.
This years walk starts and ends at The Plough Inn Scalby. The route includes refreshment breaks for ½ a pint of bitter, lager or squash at 4 pubs on the route The Three Jolly Sailors (Burniston), The Red Lion (Cloughton), The Blacksmiths Arms (Cloughton) and The Oak Wheel (Burniston).
The route has been changed this year to avoid two road crossing and more use of the old railway line (Cinder Track) from Station Lane in Cloughton to Lancaster Way in Scalby.
The walk organisers are hoping for a record turn out next week after last year's Easter Monday fundraiser saw the biggest ever entry.
Michael Whiteley says the walkers have raised thousands of pounds for local charities over the walks 63 year history.
Paper entry forms for the event are available at The Plough Inn (Scalby) or you can enter online at https://scalbyfair.org.uk/
