Alcohol could be sold from 8am onwards at a caravan park near Filey if a licence is granted by North Yorkshire Council.
A “well-loved holiday park” on the North Yorkshire coast could soon be licensed to sell alcoholic drinks from 8am onwards as part of an application by the caravan park’s owner.
The Muston Grange Caravan Park in Filey is seeking a premises licence for the sale of alcohol seven days a week.
If it is approved, alcohol could be sold for consumption off the premises.
The application by the Flower of May Parks Limited seeks permission to sell alcohol from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday.
The proposal is currently open to representations by members of the public.
According to its website, the park “enjoys an ideal location near Filey town centre and just a short stroll from the beautiful sandy beach”.
It adds:
“Guests can easily access excellent local amenities including traditional pubs, restaurants, shops and takeaways. The stunning golden beaches are right on your doorstep, whilst the vibrant towns and cities of Scarborough, Bridlington, York and Hull are all within easy reach by bus.”
The applicant operates a number of holiday parks in North Yorkshire, including the Goosewood Park in York, Riverside Meadows in Ripon, and the Fir Tree Holiday Park in Brildington.
Anyone who wants to comment on the licence application should give notice in writing to: North Yorkshire Council, Licensing Services, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, YO11 2HG or by email to licensing.east@northyorks.gov.uk.
The deadline for representations to be received by the council is Tuesday, April 21.
