Two late goals from new NPL Premier leaders FC United of Manchester saw them beat Whitby Town in front of nearly 1,300 at the Towbar Express Stadium.
However, Town will be relieved that they stay five points clear of the NPL Premier relegation zone going into Easter Monday's round of matches.
United led inside two minutes with their first attack, on the break, to drive low past Blues keeper Shane Bland.
But the Seasiders hit back early in the second half as Jake Charles scrambled home following a bright restart.
A long ball over the top then saw Bland, on his 500th appearance for Whitby and centre-half Alex Nelson dissected and Bland was beaten just outside his penalty area by onrushing sub Jordan Buckley, who was left with an empty net to slot into.
Former Liverpool star Andre Wisdom made sure with a spectacular 20-yard injury-time drive for 3-1.
Whitby Town TV spoke to joint Blues boss Lee Bullock after the game:
Whitby visit fellow strugglers Morpeth Town, on Easter Monday with a 3.00pm kick-off.
