Saint Cecilia’s Care Group has extend its support to Eastfield Medical Centre by providing additional space for patient consultations.
The need for additional support comes after Eastfield Medical Centre suffered significant flood damage earlier this year, which has rendered their building unusable until sometime in 2026. The temporary relocation within Saint Cecilia’s premises ensures that consultations can continue uninterrupted while the Medical Centre works to restore their own facilities.
This expansion will enable the Medical Centre to run more consultations, ensuring continued access to vital healthcare services for local residents and means that GP services can finally return to the Eastfield area.
Eastfield Medical Centre has already begun using one of the rooms at The Lounge, part of Saint Cecilia’s day care centre in Eastfield, and this new arrangement provides a larger, more flexible presence to meet growing demands.
Aaron Padgham, Managing Director of Saint Cecilia’s Care Group, said:
"At Saint Cecilia’s, supporting our local community is at the heart of everything we do. By offering additional space to Eastfield Medical Centre, we hope to make a real difference to residents who rely on their services every day. Working together like this shows what can be achieved when local organisations collaborate for the benefit of the community."
Tammy Stewart, Practice Manager at Eastfield Medical Centre, commented:
“We are incredibly grateful to Saint Cecilia’s Care Group for stepping in and offering us a safe and welcoming space to continue delivering care. Their support has allowed us to bring GP services back into the heart of Eastfield at a time when our patients need us most and really highlights the strength of collaboration within our community."
Saint Cecilia’s Care Group and Eastfield Medical Centre are working closely to ensure a smooth transition for staff and patients, with services continuing at the temporary location for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, The Lounge will continue to operate as normal, providing day care services for older people and those with dementia or any physical or learning disability.
