Eastfield medical centre is continuing to experience issues after a flood last Thursday damaged electrical equipment.
The centre posted on social media last Thursday saying:
"Dear patients,
We have experienced serious flooding at the practice this morning. As a result the building is not safe to open. We are currently working our best to contact patient's with appointments.
We appreciate your patience on this matter whilst we sort the issue out."
On Friday the centre provided an updte saying:
"The flood has caused significant damage to our electrical systems which has severely impacted our ability to operate at the Practice.
We are currently working our hardest to keep operations running. From Monday, we will be operating from Lawrence House (on Falsgrave, part of the Haxby Group) over the next few weeks.
We will be offering face to face appointments at Lawrence House. If you are unable to get to the surgery, we will offer you a telephone appointment.
We are still processing repeat prescription requests.
The best way to request your medicines is online or via the NHS app. If you prefer to bring your prescription request to the surgery, please take the request to Eastfield Pharmacy.
Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we work our best to get the practice up and running again."
In a further update on Monday the centre said:
"We're Still Here for You!
Just a reminder that you can still contact the practice on 01723 582297 if you need us.
Whether it’s to book an appointment, ask a question, or get support - don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Your health matters, and we’re only a phone call away."
