Authorities in North Yorkshire are working hard to ensure roads in the county are safer.
Work to reduce the number of deaths on North Yorkshire's roads remains a focus of the prevention work being undertaken by the emergency services in the county.
Director of Transformation at North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, Dave Winspear, says the A170 is one area of concern and says the number of incidents needs to be reduced:
