It's Remembrance Day across the UK, with the mother of a fallen soldier who served in Afghanistan speaking to us, in Scarborough, about her loss.
The Royal British Legion have been out selling poppies, including on the Yorkshire Coast.
Their president in Scarborough is Tom Fox:
"People are amazing. They're very generous, and we've been very busy. At remembrance, people think about the first World War and Second World War, and as important that is, it's in recent times that we're still losing our soldiers' lives and other people."
Ann Cheswick lost her son, Lance Corporal Stephen Fellows, who was killed serving in Afghanistan in 2008.
She stopped to speak to us at Tom's stall in Scarborough and says she feels proud of Stephen:
"I do, I feel very proud of my son. I'm very proud of all veterans because it's not only them that died, it's them that came back with PTSD with all other injuries and they needed help from Help From Heroes, they needed help from the British Legion, and if it weren't for these charities, these poor people would have been in a right state."
