The Rainbow Centre in Scarborough has hosted a heartwarming Christmas dinner, welcoming approximately 200 clients, staff, volunteers, and representatives from external services for an afternoon filled with festive cheer.
The event on Wednesday featured a traditional Christmas dinner complete with all the trimmings and a special visit from Santa Claus, who ensured that every attendee left with a gift.
The event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of McCain UK IE, which played a crucial role in its success.
The staff and students from Yorkshire Coast College were instrumental in the preparation and service, showcasing their culinary skills and hospitality. "Their professionalism, hard work, and festive spirit made the day truly special," remarked a spokesperson from The Rainbow Centre.

The atmosphere was described as warm and inviting, embodying the spirit of Christmas. "It was a wonderful afternoon filled with warmth, good food, and community — everything Christmas should be," the spokesperson added, highlighting the importance of community connections during the festive season.
The Rainbow Centre expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event's success, particularly the dedicated staff and volunteers whose efforts were pivotal in bringing the celebration to life. They say the occasion not only provided a delightful meal but also fostered a sense of togetherness among attendees, reinforcing the community spirit that the centre aims to promote.
