A Whitby youngster has received a letter from Her Majesty the Queen.
Liam Humpreys wants to be a Queen's Guard when he grows up. He wrote a letter to Her Majesty about his ambition and got a reply from Buckingham Palace which said
"Her Majesty was touched by your kind words and by the interest you have in becoming a member of The Queen's Guard one day".
In the letter, The Queen also wished him well on his upcoming trip to London with school, where he will visit the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace.
Paddy spoke to teacher Mr Green and Liam about his letter and Liam told Paddy what job he wants to do at the palace.
Liam's teacher Arthur Green says it was an exciting moment when the letter arrived at school with a Buckingham Palace Postmark on it.
Along with the letter, which is on Windsor Castle headed paper, the Palace sent some information about the Queen and the Queen’s Guard. Liam is planning to keep the letter at home in a frame.
