The question mark over apostrophes on North Yorkshire's road signs appears to have been bought to a full stop.
North Yorkshire Council had come in for criticism after announcing it was dropping apostrophes from street name signs because they caused problems during database searches.
Executive Member for Transport - Councillor Keane Duncan - tried to put a full stop on the issue yesterday with this announcement.
Councillor Duncan says that punctuation marks will now continue to feature on the county's road signs.
