The care system in North Yorkshire is struggling to find the staff it needs.
Richard Webb is the county's director of adult services, he says it's a big problem, but not as bad as elsewhere in the country:
North Yorkshire County Council can't fix a shortage of care staff by simply increasing pay.
That's the message from Richard who says they have seen a 70-percent decline in the number of people applying for care jobs.
He believes the pay issue needs to be tackled on a national basis:
