North Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner wants to see a more unified approach to providing CCTV in the county.
Philip Allott says good CCTV can be a real help to the emergency services.
He thinks the current set up in the county is haphazard:
He feels CCTV cameras across north Yorkshire need to be updated and the monitoring of them should be centralised.
