North Yorkshire Police says it is having success in reducing it's call answer times.
The force says investment in it's control room is delivering results.
Assistant Chief Constable - Elliot Foskett - says extra staffing resource has helped improved the force's 999 call answer times.
The force has come in for criticism for the amount of time it takes to answer both 101 and 999 calls but says it is now seeing around 80% of 999 calls answered in less than 10 seconds.

ACC Foskett - says an ongoing recruitment campaign is working and that as a result the force control room will have it's full staffing quota in place next month.
