North Yorkshire Police say that the body of a man found in Whitby yesterday is believed to be that of a man from the Cleveland area.
Officers say that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The man's body was discovered near the pier yesterday morning, the pier and Henrietta Street were closed for a time while officers dealt with the incident.
