Teresa Fenech has been appointed as the Chief Executive of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and officially moved into the role on 1 January 2026.
Jason Stamp, Chair of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB, said:
"Following an external process, I am pleased to confirm that Teresa Fenech has been appointed to the substantive Chief Executive role. Teresa has been fulfilling the role in an acting capacity since March."
"Teresa’s appointment reflects the strength of her leadership over the past nine months, balancing the delivery of our current plan along with our transition into a strong strategic commissioning organisation from 1 April 2026."
Teresa has extensive experience, having worked across the NHS for more than 40 years.
She joined HNS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB at its inception in 2022 from NHS England and NHS Improvement where she held national roles, including Director of Nursing: Specialised Commissioning, and Director of the Quality Improvement Taskforce for Children and Young People’s Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder services.
Since 2005 Teresa held several Executive Director roles for NHS Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts, across Nursing, Quality, Performance, and Improvement portfolios.
