Filey's new Coastwatch station has already seen action just a month after opening.
The temporary base has been opened by the National Coastwatch Institution, they hope to establish a permanent look out post in the town.
Station Chief - Mike Pack - says the new facility has already shown it's worth.
Currently there are 57 Coastwatch stations around the UK operated by over 2600 volunteers
They keep watch around the British Isles for maritime emergencies and provide reports to the coastguard.

Previously the northernmost station on the east coast was at Hornsea, the Filey station extends the NCI's operations further up the East Coast.
The new coast watch station in Filey has been involved in three incidents in it's first month of operation.
Station Chief - Mike Pack- says the idea is to help keep the public safe along the coastline.
The National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) is a 100% voluntary organisation set up in 1994 to restore a visual watch along UK shores following the closure of a number of small Coastguard stations.
