North Yorkshire Police say they are continuing to have to issue fixed penalty notices to people breaching the COVID Tier regulations.
Last weekend the force issued 74 fines, 56 of them were to tier 3 residents who had travelled to North Yorkshire and breached indoor gathering rules.
Superintendent Mike Walker is leading the force's response to COVID-19 he says the fact they are still having to issue the fines is disappointing.
Superintendent Walker says while the rules surrounding travelling between tier 3 and 2 are only guidance, the rules about indoor gathering travel with you from your home tier.
