Lewis Maloney returned to fitness and levelled late on for Scarborough Athletic, in County Durham, on Tuesday night.
Boro fell behind inside two minutes at promotion rivals Spennymoor Town.
At that point, Moors went above the Seadogs in the National North table, with eight teams separated by three points in a ridiculously-tight play-off scrap.
However, Jono Greening's men never gave up and after being introduced just moments before, fit-again Maloney made the difference.
He whipped the ball into the home box and it floated into the roof of the net, four minutes from time, for the equaliser, to delight the hundreds who travelled north.

It keeps Boro in seventh spot, the final play-off place and with Darlington losing, only goal difference keeps the Quakers in front of the Seadogs.
Here's the best of the action, on This Is The Coast Extra, with Paddy:
Greening told This Is The Coast he had to dish out some home truths at the interval:
Boro are back in action, at Southport on Saturday, with a 3pm kick-off.
